The Real Meaning of Christmas

This generation mostly thinks that Christmas is all about getting gifts. When in reality, that’s not really what it’s about. I will agree that’s the best part, because who doesn’t like getting gifts? Actually that’s what your suppose to do on Christmas but Christmas has a different meaning than just receiving presents.

Many religions say that Christmas is Jesus’s birthday.  The 3 kings brought gifts to Jesus on that day. The most confusing yet miraculous event was the immaculate conception itself. So on this day some people only celebrate the fact that it is his birthday. Since they were kicked out of town he was given birth to in a stable.

A lot of people have a big feast on Christmas or Christmas Eve. All kids love waking up on Christmas morning running, to the Christmas tree to open their presents. My family does it a little different we get dressed up on Christmas Eve in nice clothing and we make a lot of food that night. Once it’s 12:00 we start opening our gifts. Its great to make some sweets on Christmas because everyone love cookies and cupcakes! Whether you get all dressed up or just simply stay in your pj’s we all can’t wait to open our presents.

Although to most people gifts are the best part of Christmas we must not forget the true meaning of Christmas. Whether it be having all your family together enjoying each others presence or just chilling and having fun not caring about nothing else. If you really think about it Christmas wouldn’t be what it is without family. No matter how annoying or mad you guys are at each other, who cares!

In conclusion remember that Christmas isn’t all about presents! It’s all about being with your family. And eating good food, also dressing up if your family does that. For those who only celebrate it because its jesus birthday pray or give thanks or go to church if that’s what you do. Enjoy each others’ company. Even if you have a crappy gift have thanks. (:
