The iPad?!
There’s going to be something new coming to your town! The iPad!
Developed by Apple Inc., the iPad is a tablet computer. It’s scheduled to be released in March 2010 (WiFi models only). The 3G model will be released April 2010. It features multi-touch interaction with print, photo, videos, audio and internet. It weighs between 1.5 lbs and 1.6 lbs depending on what type of iPad you buy. It is 9.56 inches x 7.47 inches. The price of the iPad will range from $499-$629.
iPad vs. Laptop:
The iPad is easier to carry around and stash. It weighs about 1.5 lbs and is half an inch thick. It is less expensive than most full-fledged laptops and has a longer battery life of 10 hours.
But it can only hold up to 64 gigabytes of storage. It can’t hold as many photos, videos, movies and songs as most laptops. Also it doesn’t come with a physical keyboard but Apple will sell an add-on dock with a keyboard.
So when Apple finally releases the iPad, you should definately check it out!
