Nicki Minaj was born in Saint James in 1982. She was raised with her drug addict father and then moved back to Saint James with her grandmother until the age of 5. Then she moved to Queens with her mother and father in a small apartment.
She became famous because little Wayne saw her rapping in a New York park . But how it really started was she was singing parts for local rappers and she stared a Myspace page and was discovered by Dirty Money CEO, Fendi. He loved her immediately and signed her to his label.
Her first song on the radio was ”Bed Rock” by Lil Wayne. But she was only feature. The first song she did all by herself was “Your Love” and her first album was Pink Friday.
