The lockout couldn’t end at a better time, with Christmas just right around the corner.  While I am talking about Christmas let me tell you, there are going to be some outstanding games on Christmas day, including some of the best players in the league.  Some match ups will include the Miami Heat vs the Dallas Mavericks in a NBA finals rematch. Then you have Derrick Rose and the young Bulls vs Kobe and the wise old Lakers. For our hometown Magic and Dwight Howard takes on Kevin the “Durantula” Durant with his young and electrifying OKC Thunder.

With the lockout being done and over, the free agency has opened up and trade talks have already begun.  Some players have been traded already, like, Lamar Odom- the Lakers 6th man.  He was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, the champions of the 2011 season. There have been rumors of Dwight Howard our hometown hero being traded to either the New Jersey Nets, the LA Lakers, or the 2011 champs Dallas Mavericks. Speaking of the Mavericks, their center who was a big part of their defense, Tyson Chandler, was a free agent and signed with he New York Knicks to join Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire.

David West, who was a New Orleans Hornet last season was recently signed to a 2 year deal worth 20 million dollars  with the Indiana Pacers.  The Hornets franchise player Chris Paul is on the move to LA, but to the Lakers. He’s going to play with the Clippers and young breakout star Blake Griffin.

The NBA has been on blast since the lockout was unlocked. People getting traded from left to right. Free agents getting signed like nothing. It’s crazy. I would assume our generation is new to a lockout.  Not our parents or grandparents since there have been lockouts before, but this one is full of drama. Just think of Dwight leaving us… Well, let’s just hope there won’t be another lockout for a long while.

The story of the Nineball starts in La Jolla, California in a backyard in 1993. At the time the house consisted of a bunch of good friends, a half pipe, pool table, ping pong table and shaping room all just across the street from some nice smooth hills down to the reefs. Being that the house had all these fine features, it became quite the hangout spot.

One of their friends from Hawaii who used to call people “nineballs” all the time in a friendly razzing sort of way, called up on the phone one day to see what was going on at the house. Of course they were all “studying” so he got the answering machine and said “Whats going on over there at Sector 9?” which to him and us meant a house full of nineballs. At the same time one of the house favorite hill cruisers, a snowboard-turned-skateboard, was stolen from North bird in La Jolla and a couple replacement boards were almost finished and just needed the finishing touches of a logo. The message on the machine was heard and the name not only had a nice ring to it but seemed fitting as well so it stuck.

There are competitions everywhere in Hawaii and in places with sloping hills. Many people that ride long boards take good care of them and that means you have to clean the bearings  and tires as well as keeping up with board care. To all the riders out in the world make sure you keep riding and relaxing and maybe you’ll make a world wide company selling boards all over the world.

During the both of their careers Michael and Kobe have had overwhelming seasons.  When Michael was in the league around when Kobe just got drafted, Michael dominated the the young buck Kobe.  Matter of fact, when Kobe was coming in the league, Michael’s career was at the end.

The average of points of their careers of course Michael Jordan dominates once again with a whopping average of 30.1 and Kobe with 25.3. Michael Jordan.Both of them have outstanding averages but Michael is just an unordinary kind of player.  Kobe Bryant has been called player of this decade other than Lebron James….

  Michael Jordan’s career started in 1984  when he was drafted by the Chicago Bulls the 3rd overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft.  As we all should know Michael has had a outstanding career with numerous awards and titles. Michael as had exactly 6 Championships,5 Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.  Michael’s career took off when he was a freshmen at North Carolina when he made a buzzer beating shot in 1982 against the Georgetown Hoyas he status as a basketball star rose incredible.  He entered the draft after his junior season at North Carolina which was 1984.  He was selected third in the draft behind Hakeem Olajuwon and Sam Bowie.  Michael’s career was unbelievable like literally unbelievable.  You wouldn’t understand how rare a player wins 6 championships and  5 MVP awards all with the same team.

Kobe Bryant is well known as this “decades” best player in my opinion.  He has won 5 championships this decade which is awkward for one player to win this many championships in the matter of a decade.  Weirdly  he has only won 1 NBA MVP award. In he his outstanding career he has been a NBA All-Star 13 times. Out of those 13 times he has won 4 All-Star MVP’s.  He has also went through some assault allegations in 2003 but his wife and hiself stayed strong at the charges where eventually dropped later on in 2004.  Kobe is still in the leauge going on 15 years on the leauge and is still doing his best.

Michael and Kobe is the most controversial agrument in the leauge as of now.  Kobe is always compared to Michael.  Kobe Bryant just might win one more championship though still with the Lakers. Also Micahel still can as a manger for the Charllete Bobcats.  Kobe is also one of the best but he will never be the best and the best will always be Michael Jordan.

Whenever you go to a Florida State game, you have to get at least something to eat. You can’t go to a game and not have something there. You won’t get the whole experience. Most of the people get some peanuts!

So when we are on the very long drive to Florida State, we are all very tired. We wake up early to go. We wake up maybe around seven or eight O’ clock in the morning. We take a shower and bring out the bags to put our clothes in. We had six people in one car. We also had another car filled with four people. So on our trip, we had ten people, we had my papa, mom, dad, brother, three cousins, an aunt and an uncle, and of course myself.

Every single year we have a blast! We do all kinds of things. We go to the FSU bookstore, that has any kind of FSU thing in there. Like clothes, mugs, jewelry, shoes, footballs, make-up, and more. We spend like an hour and a half in that store. We also go to the campus and watch the students on campus doing work or hanging out with their friends. Sometimes, we just walk around the place until we think of something to do. We just have a blast and hope for the good. We don’t know what is expected for us. We just hope that there will be no fighting on this trip or the next one. We do our best to get along. We just can’t wait for the football game, cause that’s when we bring on out the spirit. we pack up our tailgating, and walk to the game. We just hope for a victory! This is a family tradition. We go every year. On my moms side, almost everyone went to Florida State University.

My first defensive lineman, would be, Josh Freeman, Quarterback, for the Tampa Bay Buccanneers(NFL). My next Defensive lineman, would be Ladanian Tomlinson, for the New York Jets(NFL). My next defensive lineman, would be Lamar Woodley , for Pittsburgh Steelers(NFL). My last defensive lineman would be Jeremy Shockey, for the Carolina Panthers(NFL).

My linebackers would be , Brian Urlacher for the Chicago Bears(NFL). My next lineman, would be Lebron James, for the Miami Heat(NBA).My third lineman, would be Clay Matthews, for the Green Bay packers(NFL). My final linebacker, is Dwayne Wayde, for Miami Heat(NBA).

My cornerbacks, would be, Kobe Bryant, for the LA. Lakers(NBA).My next cornerback, would be Ike Taylor for the Pittsburgh Steelers(NFL).

My final four safeties, would be , Troy Polamalu, For the Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL). My next safety would be Bob Sanders, for the SanDiego Chargers(NFL). My third safety would be Chris Finnegan, for the Tennessee Titans (NFL). My final safety would be Chris Bosch, for the Miami Heat(NBA).

So you may wonder what the purpose, of my recent stories was. Well, I decided to make a mixture of a “Dream Team”, and NBA players playing football. And there ya’ have it! 

Hey do you like cheer leading? Well I do, a lot. I have had experience with being a cheerleader. You have a lot of practicing, and have a lot of games to go to. And the best part is to go to cheer leading competitions.

I love the uniforms in cheer leading. All the different colors and teams initials on their uniforms. I had a uniform it was about the Falcons and it teams colors were Red,White,and Black. I had lots of fun supporting my teams colors in my uniform.

 There is a variety of cheers cheerleaders do. Some of the cheers cheerleaders do are peppy, sad, and many more. The coaches really put a lot of work in the cheerleaders cheers. Some are used for supporting a foot ball team, maybe a soccer team, and some are used for a basket ball team.

Some of the competitions are in different areas like, Jacksonville, Georgia, and Deltona.There are different levels of cheerleaders like  seniors, mightys, and little mightys.There are a lot of cool things you win when you get first place in competition.

The cheer practices are held in different areas like middle schools, high schools ,and some in the football feilds.Cheerleaders do alot of practicing for football games, basketball games, and competitions.I certantily loved to go to my cheerleading practices.I hope you love cheerleading as much as me.Cheer practicing is fun for a lot of people hope you have fun too!

Foot ball games in cheerleaders eyes are tiring for them. Foot ball games are fun and can be competetive.Cheerleaders practice really hard to be supportive for there team. Some cheering can be lots of fun for some cheerleaders and tiring for others. Hope you have fun!

Every one is feeling the pressure no one can deny it. The announcer calls up your class, you pick yourself up, start up your bike and get on the grid with about 40 riders revving there bike. Ms.Motocross puts up the 5 second sign and then the sound of 40 riders with there throttle to the ground staring at the grid.

Amateurs everywhere prepare for this day, the day they get a chance to get recognized to become sponsored or to even become pro.Like all sports if you want to become pro you will have to be recognized. There are all kinds of sponsors for motocross also like all other sports. Most people don’t understand what motocross takes from you and what it gives.

There is a rider out racing that has a 5 year deal with Kawasaki and this little pro is Adam Cianciarulo. Adam has proven himself through his years of racing motocross and has more sponsors then I can even name. Also, there are other little maniacs that have sponsors like Cooper Webb and Jordan Bailey he has alot of sponsors too. Those are about all the little guys that have a pro sponsorship, is just wait till they get older and ride with the real pro’s.

There are two main tracks where amateurs can get recognized and those two tracks are the Loretta Lynn’s in Hurricane mills, Tennessee and Daytona Supercross in Daytona, Florida. Both tracks are motocross central for sponsors like REDBULL, MONSTER and ROCKSTAR so if you do good in your class you will definitely get recognized.The one thing that most people don’t realize is that there are so many other amateurs that will be there and that will put everything on the line to win that race. Everyone deserves a chance to be the next generation rider.

Ryan has trained mercilessly to win last years Supercross series. Ryans’ determination was above all others, he was determined to be the best. The outdoor series are two motos (races) that are 30 minutes and 2 laps, the riders are some of the best in the world but all riders have to pace themselves and ride hard all at the same time. Supercross doesn’t need the same amount of endurance as the outdoor series. Supercross only has two heats(pre races) that are 10 laps long. The Supercross main event is the best part of the night, it is so much fun watching 40 bikes do 20 laps on some o the toughest tracks in the AMA.

Ryan has pushed himself to the point of no return when he rides on these grade A race tracks. Villipotos bike is the best bike and the newest bike in the AMA series, he has modified his bike out to be the very fastest it could go. His mechanic is one of the best! The mechanic has to know the bike inside and out to know whats wrong with it if  something happens to it.

Sponsors are a major part of the AMA series, if you don’t have a sponsor to race you need to have at least 3 million dollars to start your own team and get another 20,000 to get a modified bike to compete in the AMA already assuming you’re a pro. The AMA series has seen some of the greatest riders in the world! If everyone on the tracks was the greatest dirt bike rider and made millions of dollars, I imagine we would all ride. For those that are trying but don’t have that money, keep trying and never give up on your dreams always keep them in sight!

In the surprising twist this week Oklahoma St. is ranked 3 and the LSU Tigers are ranked #1 with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2nd place.  The top 25 teams are actually not a disappointment like they were last year with only four teams finishing undefeated.  If you’re in the top 25 you are in there for a reason, which is, to avoid having a disappointing season!  As of now the top 25 is a top 24 because the last top teams have the same record so therefore they are both ranked 24. I know you’re probably thinking if they’re in the top 25 they are having a good season. Although to be in the top 25 some teams are not deserving I think. I know your probably thinking if they are in the top 25 they would be doing good, but to be in the top 25 you must be beating teams that you should beat not getting upset every week (Georgia) !

Well, let’s talk about this intense Heisman race. According to Espn.com, the top 5 contenders as of now are 1.Andrew Luck, QB 2.Russell Wilson, QB 3. Trent Richardson, RB 4. Kellen Moore, QB 5. Robert Griffin III, QB. All of these players are having electrifying seasons. Here are some stats on our top 5 Heisman contenders.

Andrew Luck: Passing yards: 1,888, 20 passing touchdowns, and a quarterback rating of 180.0

Russell Wilson: Passing yards: 1,780, has thrown 16 touchdowns, and only threw 13 interceptions.

Trent Richardson: has run for 989 rushing yards, has scored a total of 17 touchdowns catching and rushing, and he averages about 6.6 yards per carry.

Kellen Moore: he has thrown for 2010 passing yards, he’s thrown 24 touchdowns, he has completed 76.3% of his passes.

Blake Griffin III:  He has thrown for 1950 yards, thrown for 22 touchdown yards, and ran for an unbelievable amount for a quarterback with about 295 yards.

The teams that look like they will be playing for the championship game are LSU and Oklahoma. As of now LSU is ranked #1  and Oklahoma is ranked #3. I know most of you are thinking, why would Oklahoma be playing in the championship if they’re ranked #3 instead of 2. Well Alabama is ranked #2; but they are in the same conference as LSU.  They are both in the Southern Eastern Conference (SEC).  When the play against each other for the championship game LSU is projected to win the SEC championship.   I think that LSU will come out on top and beat the odds and win the SEC and the national championship game.  Some spectators have said they do not have what it takes to win it all because they are too young to win.

Handoff to Lebron! What would you do if you heard an announcer say this? Well, imagine the NFL was a mixture between NFL and NBA players. What would it be like? Would the statistics change?  If I could make my own team, it would be a mix between NFL and NBA players.

First of all, as Quarterback, I would choose Drew Brees from the New Orlean Saints (NFL). I would choose Lebron James as my Fullback. Last but not least, Halfback, Chris Johnson (NFL).

My five offensive linemen would be:
Larry Stinchcomb (NFL) from New Orleans Saints, Paul Pierce (NBA)  from Boston Celtics, Center would be Yao Ming (NBA) (Retired), Paul Raji from the Green Bay Packers. My left guard would be the New Orleans Saints’ center Brian De La Puente.

My starting receivers would be, Marcus Colston, for the New Orleans Saints. My next reciever would be Kevin Garnett, from the Boston Celtics (NBA).  Jeremy Shockey would be my starting tight end(NFL). My final tight end would be Dwight Howard, from the Orlando Magic (NBA).
