“Why Oh Why Me” by Crystal T.

The sky is blue but my tears are clear, I can hear perfectly but I’m blind in a way. I do not like to lie so I run away, but I can’t go far so I face the shame. Why oh why me, I say, but I know there will be a day when I can say “why oh why me” in a proud way. I work so hard but sometimes fail, but I know you have to fail to have success so I put a smile on my face when I’m depressed. Violence and crime is corrupting this world but with love any wound can be healed. That’s why I have an open heart for the hated and a giving hand for the poor. I understand that I can make it in life but some people don’t have that determination. It disgusts me when I see people getting hurt for no reason but yet I cant do anything about it.

People always focus on the bad stuff but focus on the good stuff once in a while. I see the sun shining but I feel the rain pounding on my skin but I know it can’t rain for long. Material things are not everything but yet I still value them. My life is special and it will show me some exciting things, but I’m so impatient. I want to travel the world now, see things I never saw before but I know with patience you can get where you want to be. So I’m waiting patiently but for right now I’m saying why oh why me.

When you write poetry you put feeling into it. You want the reader to feel your emotion and realize what you’re saying. In some poetry there’s mystery, but when you really get into it and feel the emotion you can understand what the author is saying. I like to add a lot of mystery into my poetry, because it helps the reader understand more about reading.

People write poetry for all types of reasons, but the most common is to express their emotion. When you write poetry you can say anything and do anything with it. Poetry can be your own secret language. You can write all you want and no one has to know what you’re saying or talking about. Poetry is also about peacefulness, it makes you calm because you just released your emotions.
