On January 10, 2011, the Oregon Ducks are going to the college football championship. At least that’s what reporters and sports analysts are saying. The game will be held in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena,California. The championship game is for all college football teams,  but the two best get to play. The Ducks stand out the most.
By now everybody should now about the Oregon Ducks. If not, the Ducks’ hometown is Eugene,Oregon. Their mascot is a Duck who looks a lot like Daffy, the Disney star. They’re also known as one of the best college football teams in the nation.
The Ducks are projected to go to the championship game. Their opponent is projected to be the Auburn Tigers, led by their led by their quarterback Cam Newton. But the Ducks are the favorite to win. Their coach, Chip Kelly, said,”Win the championship or win the PAC-10 or just win the day”.
But the Ducks have a few weapons of their own. Their names are LaMichael James and Darren Thomas. LaMichael James is the Ducks’ running back and Heisman trophy hopeful. Darren Thomas is the Ducks’ quarterback and he has had an outstanding year. With these types of players and their defense, Chip Kelly hopes to go to the championship game.
But the season isn’t over yet. The Ducks have a couple more games until the championship. What would you do if you were a 1st year coach and were undefeated with a champion caliber team?
