Young Ladies of Echelon

 

The Young Ladies of Echelon was founded by Mrs. Brenda Bassa-Young on September 7th, 2000. The Young Ladies of Echelon is a group of 6th, 7th , and 8th grade girls who have come together to make a difference  in their school and in their community. The club was created because there was a growing need in our school community to educate and develop self-esteem, while nurturing proper skills that will help girls develop into wonderful young ladies.

As the current president  of Young Ladies of Echelon, there are many things that I hope to see happen in the future. For one, I would like to see that we do more fundraisers to raise more money. We need more field trips to colleges so that we can educate ourselves on what colleges have the proper job fields of our choice. I want everyone that is in the group or wants to participate in the group to be more dedicated to helping out by community service. Also, I want to see that the girls of the club become role models to others that have problems.

 

Young Men with a Purpose

Now, to the Young Men With A Purpose club. I want the boys to overpopulate the girls. My reason on why I think boys don’t join is because they think its an all-girl organization, which it’s not. I fear that boys are afraid of what people might say. Boys: you are welcome to join!

 

As president I have learned that everyone looks up to you. All that means is that you have to be a role model. Also you have to take responsiblilty and respect everyone. Being president teaches you about yourself. Future presidents should know that everyone wants to see you mess up, but you have to prove them all wrong. Taking responsibility is the biggest task you have to take on. Also, communication with the other officers is very important because not communicating can lead you to a dead end. I have enjoyed being president and look forward to seeing the Young Ladies of Echelon continue to go in the right direction with the future members and officers of the organization.
