Boy scouts have been around for one hundred years now. The program was created to help give teenagers outdoor knowledge, help the poor, and to raise them to be good citizens in the nation and world. The Boy Scouts aren’t all work and no play; in fact the scouts go on great camp outs. (I would know because I’m in the program.) But how do they get the money? Fundraisers, that’s how.
Local Scout Troop 234 is having their annual Christmas tree sale. Troops like 234 do fundraisers to get money for camp outs. In fact, my Scout Troop, (Troop 23) are selling hot dogs at the Ace Hardware store near the Target in SoDo. (Hope to see you there!)
Even for another hundred years, scouts is still gonna do what it’s doing today. So if you see some kids in a Boy Scout uniform, help them out. They need some money.
