Pants off the Ground?

Fitzroya N Friday, April 30, 2010 7

Looks like our, oh-so-unwasteful legislature is deciding to play a little game of fashion cop.  On April16th, Gary Siplin, one of the persistent senators of this wonderful state, decided to introduce a bill making the sagging of pants (the very blood of the student body) an offense against the law in any public place. Yet, isn’t it also true that “the road to the hell is paved with good intentions?”

It seems as if the senator is making an innocent appeal to those who would support the ideal of the bill, who generally have a right to vote from being… aged. This is, while supportive 0f his own beliefs, a deceitful act in my opinion. However justified politics may be, it seems wrong.

Even if this bill were to be passed, I doubt that it would be enforced after the initial wave of ‘anti-sagging’ tickets are passed out. Comment below on what you think of the Act, and whether or not you think it’ll be enforced.

I think this is a good bill that should be passed, but just like Harrison said most people will not enforce it anyway.

Its soooo gross to see guys walk around with their “Pants on the Ground”… lol. But really- I think if this is passed- it will make a HUGE difference- and Howard will look like a better school- because as petty as it is- When people come here they DO look at clothing…And when they see 6th 7th and 8th graders with their pants down to their knees- they think this is not a good school-when it is! It’s not hard guys!? I mean for real like why would you want people looking at your underwear anyway?! Ew! Its like …privacy… BLAH! ;)
