My First 5 Minutes at Howard middle school!

                When I first walked through those double doors and standing on that Ranger mat. 

 The Orlando high school stuff to my left, the front office to my right.  I’m here a lot early probably around 8:30 with my mom and brother who’ve done this once before. 

To the ISS room I go, because I was in after-school all-stars.  

My mom is off to go to work my brother up ahead in his striped shirt. 

 I’m sitting down now, lost and clueless, and there’s this girl in the chair beside me.  I ask her her name, then she looks up from her book, I think she’s reading Twilight.
