Our school is facing a takeover, so what can I do as a student to help out?
Ask Earnest: As a student if your school is facing a takeover you would always at all times want to have pride in your school. Spread the word to everyone, so everyone will know to lead by example. Keep your school clean people!  Make sure that you are trying your best to make your school look good. Try your best to make good grades, and get awards. You can also help your school by attending school board meetings. If you decide to attend a school board meeting, have a plan prepared for yourself by doing research, and ask your parents to come support you and do the same. Being the best you- will help your school in the process!
Shayna Says: Well honestly, there isn’t really much you can do as a student if your school is facing a takeover. The main advice I can give is to let your voice be heard, spread the word to you peers and possibly your community. Talk to your teachers and maybe they can help give you ideas. Keep shouting in a positive way to our community and eventually someone with a higher power will hear about the situation and could possibly help your school.
My friends are pressuring me to something that I don’t want to do. How do I deal with the peer pressure ?
Ask Earnest: To start off with walk up to your friends and try to convince them not to do it. Tell them the consequences of their actions. Talk to them about it, but if they decide to go on and do it anyways, tell them how it will affect their friends, family, and all the surrounding people in their lives.  If they still won’t listen, just walk away and keep yourself from getting in trouble… You are strong enough.
Shayna Says: If your friends are pressuring you to do something you do not want to do, then to me they really aren’t your friends. From my point of view, a friend shouldn’t make you do something you do not want to do, especially something illegal. If that’s the crowd you’re hanging around with, then I suggest that you choose a better set of friends. Find friends that will do something positive and not pressure you.
How do you  approach your teacher when you are failing, and are scared it may be too late?
Ask Earnest: If you are failing and scared that it’s too late, don’t be, because it is never too late. This is all you have to do: make sure he/she notices that you are trying very hard (which means yes- you have to try!) on all your assignments. At the end of school, come to their classroom and ask for a few minutes of his/her time. Walk up to your teacher and say, “as you can see I’ve been trying very hard to improve my grades.” Start to get little tears in your eyes, and complain to your teacher how much you need a good grade in this class. After that go home and pray that she will give you extra credit.
Shayna Says: First off, why are you now just caring about you grade ??? Don’t get me wrong. I’m glad that you care, but it may be too late. Most teachers want their students working hard the whole year, not at the last minute getting all their late work and missing assignments. If you are one of those kids, just try your best starting now so you won’t have to be worried about failing a class in the future.
