FCAT Explorer… Does it Work?

Have you tried FCAT Explorer yet? Most of you have tried it. But for some of the people that haven’t used it yet, pay attention, because it just might help you. FCAT Explorer is an online tool used to help kids prepare for the big test, and I will be reviewing it under the 8th grade math section to see if it works or not.

Starting off with the visual effects, I would give them 3 out of 5 stars. The colors look good, as many kids prefer to have black and another color (the colors are black, red, green, blue, and purple). But the lettering doesn’t stand out and capture peoples’ attention. People like to see an awesome font, which it is lacking. Other than that it looks pretty nice.

But as for the organization of it, I think it is well organized. I would give it 5 stars for that. It is easy to get around and I like how it shows you how you scored on a question. There’s really nothing to complain about.

But the real question is, does it work? I, for one, learned some new things on there (me being a 6th grader reviewing the 8th grade math section). But I believe it can still help you prepare for the FCAT, no matter what grade you’re in. It will help you review things and learn new things. Some teachers also give you a grade for using it. So I’ll give it a 4 star rating.

Overall it’s a 5 out of 5 for me. I strongly think that it does help people learn; and not make people bored at the same time. If everybody uses it, I believe it will give them a better score on the FCAT. That’s all I have to say for it, tell me what you think about it.
