Downtown Orlando Shooting

Fitzroya N Wednesday, November 18, 2009 0

On Friday November 6, 2009, Jason Rodriguez opened fire on the 8th floor of  the Gateway Center in downtown Orlando.  He shot six people, killing one person.  He was on the run for a couple of hours, causing many schools, including ours, to go on lockdown.  He was eventually arrested at his mothers apartment building.  All he had to say as he was being brought out of the apartment was, “They left me to rot.”

Apparently, he had worked at the company on the 8th floor until 2007 when he was fired.  He had been working at Subway until he was fired and proceeded to drive his car into one of the walls of the eating establishment.

Here is what some of the Howard Hype staff thinks.

It’s a little over exagerrated.  Yeah, he killed someone and his depression has affected a lot of people.  Not to that degree.  He was just trying to angle his depression.

That guy is crazy and he should be seriously punished.  And this guy got fired from Subway and ran into a wall?!?!?!?!

I think this guy didn’t think it through and just started shooting people like a doofus.
