AVID Field Trip to St.Augustine…Edition 5

Kids that went to St. Augustine

AVID went on a field trip to St. Augustine. They had a tour of the city and also of Flager College. The tour had very positrive effect on many students. I asked some students and teachers how they felt and this is what they had to say. Riley Jackson stated, ”I learned alot about Flager and enjoyed the trip.”  I guess that Luiz Andrade felt the same but better, he said, “I now want to go to Flager after this visit, it was a beautiful campus.” Flager must have been really awesome to him. Others felt different about the trip they enjoyed more than Flager. “It was the best field trip I ever been on, St. Augustine it’s a different type of city,” explained Mike Sempier.  Jackie Commander said that, ” I enjoyed rolling down the hill at the fort.” I was also told that the AVID students got to see the canyons fire from the fort.  The field trip was a fantastic oppurunity for our AVID students to experience the culture of St. Augustine and visit Flager College,” stated Mr. Seger. Everyone know how kids are we love being out of school. Unfortanately Stephanie Lee put it out there when she said that ” It was really fun because I didn’t  have to come to school.” But little did she know how much you get on a trip like this! Shaqurius McKnight  mentioned that ” It was a lot of walking but my feet was hurting.” Im guessing they enjoyed eating too, ” I liked eating the pizza at Borrillo’s,” Heather Sempier. I also heard that some people went to Denny’s and I would have loved that. Ms. Glover (AVID tutor) felt that it was exciting to visit and see the artifacts of St. Augustine. How everyone made St. Augustine sound it make me want to re-visit St. Augustine. I once visited St. Augustine in 4th grade  but it wasn’t this exciting, it was alright. As you get older, you look at things so differently.  I guess it wouldv’e been better if we wouldv’e did what AVID did.
