 ”Yes!” I thought as I was walking down the hall and out of the school. I was talking to some of my friends as we walked to the buses and we were talking about what we were going to do this summer: vacations we were going to go on and also, of course, the three months of staying at home.

Yeah, I was excited about summer vacation, but I wondered if anyone was sad about leaving school? I know I sure was, and I had a lot of friends that were going to the same high school as me! But some people that I knew I would probably not see again. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited about going to high school. 80% of my friends are going to Boone High School, but what about the ones that are going somewhere else?

Also kinda sad is that none of us 8th graders (unless they got held back) will ever be able to go back to Howard as a student. What about all the fun times? Like the field trips to the skating rink in 6th grade, the Disney and Sea World trips in 7th grade, and the other Disney trip, haha, in 8th grade. Oh yeah! Also, what about the NASA field trips? Let me tell you, I will never forget the shuttle launch at night. It illimunated the night!

And let’s not forget about the teachers.  I can say all the teachers that I had at this school were great, and a lot all of them were leniant and some of them were also very nice and motivational. And let’s not forget friends.  I made so many friends at this school. Originally, when I came to Howard I only knew my friends from elementary school, but now I know many, many more. I have to admit, I really am going to miss this school.
